In 2017, the Vidal family was searching for a one-of-a-kind and soulful property in the Hudson Valley to serve as a refuge for their family and a place to celebrate the outdoors with others. From the moment they first set foot on the land of the historic farm estate, they knew it was a gem with its mature forests, rolling hills & ridges, crystal clear trout creeks and lake and majestic 90-ft waterfall.

They began the journey of breathing new life into a historic farm with an incredible history and extraordinary setting, restoring buildings, revitalizing waterways and rejuvenating farmland and miles of horseback riding and hiking trails.
As the Vidals shared their journey and celebrated what was created with family and friends, they too were revitalized. It is that energy and gratitude that gave rise to Cascada Farm, now an experiential retreat situated on a historic and extraordinary 400-acre farm preserve in the Hudson Valley, NY. Cascada Farm now has over 600+ 5-star reviews and a loyal community of guests that visit year-round to experience what was created.

The Vidal family has now expanded to a new location in the Adirondack Mountains situated near Lake Placid, NY, known for its Olympic-grade skiing, crystal-clear lakes, world-class fly-fishing, charming mountain towns and the highest peaks and largest park system in the state. Their goal is to similarly celebrate the outdoors and bring new life to a magical property. The NewVida Preserve at 2000+ acres is not only unique as the largest experiential resort in the Adirondack High Peaks, but it has its own mountaintop with unparalleled 360-degree views, a soulful history and architecture as a former ski lodge, and is nestled among 6 million acres of state land. Whether you’re coming to rejuvenate, celebrate, explore or be inspired, the possibilities of this incredible natural and historical setting are endless.

Now, with the the unique natural beauty of both properties, the success of Cascada Farm and the vastness of the NewVida Preserve , we have the opportunity to create authentic and lasting experiences centered on adventure, planetary and human health that span both locations. This is what we’re calling the NewVida Experience. These will include an integrated culinary program, high adventure and wellness services, all right on these extraordinary properties, allowing us to provide a one-of-a-kind holistic destination. We’ll soon be launching a membership program that provides preferential year-round access to both properties and special events and hopefully expanding to new locations thereafter.
